Beers in the Barn is a beer festival in 1 day, split into 2 sessions. Each session sees 2 bands playing over 2 hours of music.
Afternoon
We start things off slower in the afternoon session with some fantastic folk music from The Day Of The Rabblement, followed by a local favourite The Rotaries.
Rotaries
14:00 - 16:00
Portsmouth four piece, drawing on a range of influences to create music that lives long in the memory
The Day Of The Rabblement
12:00 - 13:00
A five-piece female led folk-tinged-outfit featuring drums, bass, guitars and accordion; ‘The Day of the Rabblement’ perform original songs and tune arrangements to get you on your feet.
Having developed from an acoustic and more traditional set-up, they have grown in sound and reputation and enjoyed success on the Portsmouth music scene. With fat vocals, powerful songs and fast-tune instrumentals, they have a truly unique sound.
Evening
Things get a bit more rocky in the afternoon, kicking off with recent chart toppers The Albert Rogues followed by local legends 60 Watts.
60 Watts
20:00 - 22:00
60 Watts catapults you to the zenith of classic rock with electrifying tributes to legends like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cream, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
These seasoned musicians deliver a pulse-pounding performance, amped up with 60 Watts of pure energy. Embodying the spirit and excitement of rock's greatest era, 60 Watts also delves into hits from the '80s, '90s, and beyond, covering bands like The Cult, Ocean Colour Scene, Stereophonics, and The Fratellis.
Get ready to be electrified by the power of 60 Watts—expect the unexpected and prepare for an unforgettable musical journey!
The Albert Rogues
18:00 - 19:00
The Albert Rogues are Jonny Rawlinson on lead vocals, Matt Ball and James Phillips on lead guitar, Jon Rachwal on keys, Jim Harbridge on bass and Adam McLarty on drums.
With their first single Midlife Crisis they have already gained attention with Number 1s in the local music charts of south coast radio stations Voice FM and Express FM for 2 weeks in a row. Produced by acclaimed engineer Tim Greaves at Southsea Sound, Midlife Crisis evokes The Libertines, The Vaccines and the up front sound of early punk.
Under the general banner of rock, their music is carefree, catchy and uplifting with a gnarled, grimy edge that's firmly grounded in their collective experience as married fathers in their forties.
With a number of releases planned in 2025, this dynamic six-piece is a band on the up.
