Little Monster Brewing co

Globally inspired, locally crafted. Brewing fresh, modern, big flavoured beers. Collaborating and innovating. Always improving! Based in Chichester, West Sussex Little Monster Brewing Company was founded by award winning brewer Brenden Quinn who has had a passion for locally produced craft beer since he was introduced to it when travelling in Canada back in 2000.

Unity Brewing Co

Founded in 2016, Unity is a Southampton brewery dedicated to making craft beer that brings people together. We brew modern brewing modern, balanced beer that can be enjoyed with friends, compliment tasty food, or be relished anywhere that beer belongs!

UNDER new ownership in 2023 Unity has returned with a new focus on our core beers and the local beer scene, while continuing to innovate and experiment with our range of seasonal and special releases which we ship to the best craft beer purveyors nationwide.

Embodying the spirit and excitement of rock's greatest era, 60 Watts also delves into hits from the '80s, '90s, and beyond, covering bands like The Cult, Ocean Colour Scene, Stereophonics, and The Fratellis.

The Day Of The Rabblement

A five-piece female led folk-tinged-outfit featuring drums, bass, guitars and accordion; ‘The Day of the Rabblement’ perform original songs and tune arrangements to get you on your feet.

Having developed from an acoustic and more traditional set-up, they have grown in sound and reputation and enjoyed success on the Portsmouth music scene. With fat vocals, powerful songs and fast-tune instrumentals, they have a truly unique sound.

How to get there

 

The Black Barn is situated on Hayling Island opposite the Lidl and is a short 7 minute walk from the bus stop on the 30 and 31 bus routes.

The Portsmouth to Hayling ferry is a great option for those cycling from the city.

We also have some very limited parking at the venue, although who wants to drive to a beer festival?

Several taxi firms operate around the island however we do recommend booking well in advance.

Frequently asked questions

  • Included with our standard ticket is entry for 1 session of Beers in the Barn 2025, an exclusive festival tasting glass and 2 beer tokens to get your started.

    Our “one for all” ticket gets you entry for 1 session, an exclusive festival glass and unlimited pours of beers for the duration of the session.

    Each session includes 2 live acts.

  • Each session is 5.5 hours long, plenty of time to drink beer, chat, dance and enjoy some local street food.

    Please Note: All bars will stop serving 10 minutes before the end of the session.

  • Beer can only be purchased with our token system. Tokens will be available from our barn bar and can be purchased for cash or all major debit cards.

    Each token costs £2.50 and are sold in strips of 4 (£10) and 8 (£20). Individual bars will show the number of tokens required for each beer.

    “All for one” ticket holders don’t need to buy tokens simply show your wristband to get unlimited pours.

    Tokens / wristbands cannot be redeemed for food, merchandise or drinks from the house bar.

  • If you are fortunate enough to look close to or under the age of 18 our staff may ask you for valid ID when you collect your wristband.

  • So it looks like Beers in the Barn isn’t the event for you.

    We will have a small house bar serving a limited selection of soft drinks and wines but please note tokens or wristbands cannot be used to purchase items from this bar.

  • Unfortunately not, in order to avoid any disruption for our customers and for your dogs we ask that all pets are left safely at home.

  • Our event is 18+ only.

    As this is primarily and beer festival and a bar environment we cannot have anyone under the age of 18 at the venu.

  • Due to the nature of the venue being situated on a working farm we cannot guarantee that all areas can be accessed by wheelchair.
